Schola Amicorum is a Boston-based Gregorian chant ensemble directed by Mr. John Salisbury. Active for over fifteen years, the Schola is devoted to the traditional music of the Latin Church.
The Schola is in residence at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church ("the German Church") in Boston's South End neighborhood where it sings at the High Masses in the traditional Latin rite, as well as for major feasts
In 1996, Schola Amicorum appeared for the first time on CD, together with pianist Michael Barrett. The album, Angels Upon Ivory (Angelus) is available in religious-goods stores, and through the catalog of; Leaflet Missal Company in St. Paul. Here are selections from the album:
